Poppy Seats is an events company focused on cultivating community through thoughtfully designed experiences. From identifying your event goals to managing the small details, we support growing communities and brands to realize their vision for the perfect gathering.
We believe your reason for gathering, whether big or small, should be accompanied by aesthetic and all the joy-filled things. We love to work with clients that are looking to connect with “their people” through food, intentional conversation, and creativity. With every event, our goal is for you to gather beautifully, engage authentically, and ultimately, grow.
Meet Dominique
Dominique is the founder and creative visionary behind Poppy Seats. She’s an LA native, #boymom, food creative, and event host.
While attending UC Berkeley, she worked for an organization that served Black students on campus and in the local community. With programming all year, she gained experience in event planning and large budget management. After graduating, she worked in non profit operations for a social justice research organization.
At the start of the pandemic, Dominique became a new mom and really felt the loneliness of being on lockdown while caring for a new baby. Her desire to gather with friends and be nourished with food and conversation grew immensely. When it was safe to meet in person again, Dominique hosted her first gathering with a few friends and that was the beginning of Poppy Seats.
Dominique has a deep passion for creating engaging spaces for people to be themselves. Her hope is to foster community, collaboration, and creativity.
